Iran, April 10, 2018 – Isfahan farmers gathered in Khoorasgan Sq. on Tuesday, April 10 to demonstrate and demand their right to water for their farms. This gathering took place despite a heavy presence of the security forces surrounding the gathering.
The suppressive State Security Forces, SSF, numbering to about 100 police on motorcycles, were deployed in and around Khoorasgan Sq. from early hours of Tuesday to prevent the gathering from taking shape. The SSF took the state highway to Khoorasgan Square and then stationed around the Kerdabad pool in attack formation to prevent farmers from rallying.
