
Sedighe Moradi and Mahvash Shahriari, two political prisoners held in the women’s ward of Evin Prison, were sent to a hospital. These two prisoners were sent from Evin Prison to Tehran’s Tajrish Hospital for MRI exams.
Sedighe Moradi was arrested on May 1, 2011 in Tehran and transferred to Evin Prison. She was sentenced to ten years behind bars on charges of ‘moharebe’ (enmity against God) and connections with opposition groups.
Mahvash Shahriari is one of the 7 Baha’is arrested in March 2008. She has been condemned to endure 20 years in jail.
