Eight political prisoners in Gohardasht Prison of Karaj, west of Tehran, went on hunger strike on Friday, May 9th, marking the fourth anniversary of the execution of five Kurdish political prisoners by the names of Shirin Alam Holi, Farzad Kamangar, Mehdi Islami, Farhad Vakili and Ali Heidari. Their hunger strike was also in protest of the continuous executions of political prisoners and group executions by the inhumane mullahs’ regime.
The names of the political prisoners on hunger strike are Shahrokh Zamani, Nosseh Yousefi, Saeed Masouri, Hamid Reza Borhani, Batirshah Mohammadaf, Afshin Heiratian, Khaled Hardati and Mehdi Abiat.
