Excessive pollution, lack of safety systems, incomplete insurance policies and ignorance on the part of the Company authorities prompted Hormozgan Oxygen Factory workers to protest and start a strike on Monday Dec. 1st. Laborers say the area in which they work in is extremely polluted and a major factor in numerous workers’ illnesses. Many complain of lung diseases and say that the authorities are ignoring their health and their needs. They congregated outside the Company management and said they continue with their strike as long as their work conditions are unchanged.
