Health minister Hashemi of the Rouhani’s government acknowledged that the effective role of Health ministry around the country is less than %20, and that people’s health is basically in their own hands.
“Mardomsalari”, a state run newspaper published the comments of the minister on April 25th, as he said: for example we build “Mehr” houses – referring to a housing project that has been underway for many years without an effective result – but we don’t think of building clinics, health center and hospital in those vicinities. Even if we decide to build hospitals, there are no places to support it financially. Also, there are towns with 800 thousands population which do not have even one hospital that could support even one patient. Nobody has thought about building hospitals or healthcare alongside the highways.
