Four death row prisoners in Karaj Central Prison were hanged. These four individuals were all sentenced to death on drug related charges and they were sent to the gallows in the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 2 in the courtyard of Karaj Central Prison.
The names of these four individuals are Mostafa Akhoundzadeh, Majid Rezaie, Saeed Jalali and Hamid Faraji.
