Former workers of the West Alborz-Sangroud mine staged a protest rally along with a number of locals in the Amarlu district of the town of Rudbar in Golestan Province, northern Iran. This rally was staged on Tuesday, March 16th, in the courtyard of this mining site. The protesters prevented machinery and other equipment belonging to this mine from leaving the site.
Afterwards the protesters prevented a flat-bed truck entering the central warehouse of the mine, forcing the truck to leave the site without any load. In this rally the former miners were protesting their limbo working conditions.
