A large explosion and the subsequent fire have been reported at the nearby Parchin nuclear site at about 2300 hours Sunday evening Tehran time. Local and government run dailies reported that a huge explosion shook the area around Parchin, east of Tehran. The explosion was so great that broke windows of buildings around this military site and the bright lite due to the explosion could be seen from few miles away.
Defense Industrial Organization, DIO, part of Iran’s Defense Ministry issued a statement saying: the fire was due to the explosion of explosives where two people have been killed, but didn’t identify the victims.
