Iran establishes cavalry police

Iranian police is attempting to use animals like horses and dogs in their missions and military parades. Farzad Kianian, commander of the police special cavalry unit said, “This unit began its work in April 2013 under orders of Commander Karami of the special unit, purchasing the necessary horses and equipment. The horses of this unit are of Turkmen, Arabic and Kurd breeds and there are two English horses, too. Because of their large size the English horses will be used to prevent unrest aimed at creating a psychological atmosphere.” (Tabnak – July 5, 2014)
