Iran: Drinking another “chalice of poison” unacceptable

The supreme leader’s envoy to Mashhad Friday prayer sermons, Mullah Alam-alhoda reacted fearfully to the ongoing nuclear talks and said we have experienced drinking the chalice of poison by the Imam once; we cannot tolerate going through this experience twice. He was referring to the 1988 Iran-Iraq war cease fire in which Khomeini himself said accepting this cease fire is like “drinking a chalice of poison”.
Mullah Alam-alhoda added dismantling Iran’s nuclear program and accepting West’s frameworks  in the area of the nuclear program is like drinking that chalice of poison again and regardless of what the outcome of the talks if it is against his will, people [read: the mullahs] would stand against it. He warned the rival faction that if Khamenei hadn’t allowed the talks to continue, none of them would dare to step beyond their authority.
