
The Iranian regime in the month of Ramadan has intensified arrests, fines and lashing people under the pretext of eating during fasting hours.
In latest Iran news in this regard, in Kermanshah, western Iran, 5 individuals were lashed in public for the ‘crime’ of eating in fasting hours.
In Tabriz, those arrested under this pretext are fined to pay 15 million rials and suffer lashes.
In Amol, northern Iran, repressive forces arrested a number of youths on Monday, July 21, under the pretext of eating during fasting hours.
On Sunday, July 20th, another youth was arrested in this same city.
In Urumieh, repressive state agents arrested a youth and placed a placard on his chest written ‘for eating during fasting hours ‘. They tied him up to a busy square in the city for hours. This inhumane measure raised much anger amongst the people.
In Shushtar recently regime repressive forces arrested and harassed a young man in the bazaar under the pretext of eating during fasting hours.
