Giving a briefing about the disastrous industrial and production situation in Zanjan, western Iran, the representative of this city to the parliament said “from about 1250 registered factories and production units in Zanjan, 300 have been totally closed down.”
He pointed out that the rest of these factories do not work with their full capacity either. “Another 400 out of the remaining registered factories work with their partial capacity”, the MP added.
Being the first time that Iranian regime MPs have been revealing such threatening statistics about the downward economy, analysts have been concluding that Iran’s economic crisis is much worse than believed earlier.
