“The Protest Coordination Committee to the Murder of Sane Zhale” issued its second declaration supporting nationwide protests around the country and calling on the people of Iran’s Kurdistan region to stage a widespread strike on Sunday in protest to the murder of Kurdish college student Sane Zhale and Mohammad Mokhtari, a college student from Tehran. It should be noted that both were killed during the Iranian people’s uprising on February 14th, 2011. The following is an excerpt of this declaration published in the Kurdish Perspective:
“While the people of Kurdistan and Iranians around the nation are in shock of the murder of Sane Zhale, he was buried under severe security conditions by his murderers in the Kurdish city of Pave. His murderers once killed his body and spirit, and once targeted his humane dignity. However, his memory will be alive in the hearts and minds of millions and the government’s dirty plot claiming Zhale was a member of the Bassij paramilitary forces faced a serious defeat.”
