Iran: Civil activist intimidated

Iran regime Suppressive Security forces have been harassing and threatening civil activist Leila Mirghafari and her family of being arrested. Authorities also threatened to activate the heavy sentencing issued to her in the court hearing.
Khadije Sadat (Leila) Mirghafari was amongst the civil activists arrested outside Tehran’s Evin Prison on Saturday, November 21.  She was released from the notorious Gharchak Varamin Prison, southeast of Tehran, on November 28 on a 500 million rial bail (around $14,300).
After being transferred to Gharchak Varamin Prison this civil activist had launched a hunger strike along with Seemeen Ayuzzadeh and Shervin Yamani protesting the recent arrests of civil activists. After her transfer to Gharchak Varamin Prison without undergoing initial interrogation, she and Seemeen Ayuzzadeh and Shervin Yamani were forced to sign a document prepared by authorities accusing them of “disrupting public order by supporting the Erfan Halghe leader”.
