
INTV, 6 Nov 2013 – The people of Marivan (western Iran) protested the regime’s criminal executions of political prisoners. Based on reports posted on the internet, on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 5, 2013, a demonstration began from the city’s Shabrang three-way and ran through the city’s main conjunction.
The regime’s suppressive forces, fearing the demonstration would spread, attacked and beat the demonstrators, arresting several of them. One of the detainees is Varya Taheh, a student from Marivan’s Payam Noor University.
After the demonstration, the regime’s suppressive forces stationed throughout the city. It is reported that tight security measures have been adopted in Marivan.
