According to sources from inside Iran, prisoners in Ward 2 of Ghezel-Hesar prison, Karaj, west of Tehran started to riot when the suppressive prison guards were trying to take 12 prisoners sentenced to death to the solitary for later mass execution.
The condemned prisoners resisted and refrained from being taken to the gallows. Their struggle with the prison guards lead to a riot and further clash between prisoners in Ward 2 and prison guards. Eventually the guards overcome the prisoners and all 12 prisoners were taken to the solitary for later execution.
