Two days after the passing of a Baha’i citizen by the name of ‘Baji Ms. Mohammad Far’, security and military forces are preventing her burial in Golestan Javid, the cemetery of Baha’is in Sanandaj, western Iran. The family of this Baha’i citizen has been told she will never be allowed to be buried there.
“The body of Ms. Mohammadi Far has been taken out of the morgue for two days now and it is being held in tact by her family with water and ice,” an informed source said.
To this day there have been many reports indicating Baha’is being deprived of burial and the destruction of many of their cemeteries across Iran. In addition to religious persecution, this is yet another human rights violation against the innocent Baha’is.
