Militia groups known as the “Death Squads” have assumed responsibility of abducting 18 Turk workers in Baghdad, capital of Iraq.
In a video clip posted on the Internet, these ISIS-like masked men are seen chanting Shiite slogans while their groups names in Arabic were written on a wall behind them. They have abducted these Turk workers and are demanding Ankara impose pressure on the Fatah Army rebel group in Syria to end their siege on Assad mercenaries in two Shiite towns near Idlib.

Various Arab media outlets said the “Death Squads” are known to be part of the Iraqi Hezbollah associated to Iran. A few days ago Iraqi Hezbollah battalions also abducted a number of Iraqi soldiers in Baghdad’s Palestine Avenue. These soldiers were on a mission searching for the Turk workers.
Iraqi Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi has described these abductors as corrupt gangs and criminals, and going on to issue the necessary orders to take action against these hostage takers.
Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani in Iraq has called on the Shiite fundamentalists to release the 18 Turk workers abducted early September in Baghdad, Al Arabiya TV reported on Saturday. In his official website Grand Ayatollah al-Sistani called for the release of the abducted workers and a stoppage in all measures that tarnish the image of Islam and weaken the government.
