Special guards of Karaj Central Prison (west of Tehran) raided ward 7 in this facility on Wednesday, August 19th, ransacking all the inmates’ belongings and going on to harass and torture the prisoners. All the inmates were then body searched and forced into the court yard to allow the authorities search the entire ward.
Prisoners said a number of their items were stolen by the authorities.
Such vicious raids are conducted once in a while in these prisons and Khamenei’s agents are mostly seeking to steal the prisoner’s mobile phones.
