A peaceful protest gathering was held today, Sunday, August 16, 2015 in front of the mullahs’ Judiciary in the capital Tehran. The gathering was aimed at releasing political prisoner Mohammad-Ali Taheri and revoking the death sentence issued to him.
Anti-riot guards and Special Forces dispatched to the judiciary attacked the protesters who were mainly women. 60 protesters were arrested in this brutal raid by the guards.
Anti-riot police used teargas and fired shots in the air to disperse the protesters.
