State-run media belonging to the mullahs’ regime revealed yet another case of embezzlement, this time ranging at $1 bn.
“The main elements of the $1 bn fraud are currently in detention,” this state-run media reported. “These individuals were arrested by security forces during the past few days. The main suspect in this case admitted to significant crimes only hours after being arrested… Similar to the $3 bn embezzlement case, one of the main sources of this huge case of fraud was forged LCs in the country’s banking system. Various companies were established by the elements that carried out this embezzlement.”
This state-run media outlet promised, “Soon, more enormous cases of economic fraud will be revealed throughout the country. To this day, serious actions have not been implemented in this regard.”
