A woman has been sentenced to death by hanging accused of taking part in a murder. She has been identified just by her first name, Narjis. The sentence has been passed on despite her vigorous denial of having any involvement in the crime.
It is worth noting that Amnesty International and other human rights organizations have emphasized that prisoners are often coerced in to giving false confessions which is usually done under torture or intimidation of having their family members arrested and harassed.
