Arzhang Davoudi, a well-known political prisoner who has been on hunger strike was sent to hospital on Wednesday after a severe drop of blood pressure and a bad fall which resulted in a head injury and concussion. Mr. Davoudi is kept in a solitary in reaction to his protest against inhumane and brutal treatment of him and other political prisoners in Gohardasht prison, west of Tehran.
The prison authorities who have been denying him medical treatment outside prison, where better facilities are available, were force to send him to an outside hospital after the extreme hypotension and concussion.
