A call has been placed on internet inviting the people of Sanandaj, western Iran to take part in a demonstration and strike starting 5pm today, Saturday, May 9, 2015 (13:30 GMT) to express solidarity with the Mahabad people’s uprisings.
People in Sanandaj, western Iran took to the streets on Friday, May 8th following the uprisings in Mahabad city, also western Iran, in expressing their solidarity with those people. Residents and youth in Sanandaj on Friday walked from Abidar Park towards the center of the city. The Khamenei’s Suppressive State Security Forces, SSF, dispatched dozens of forces along the rally rout fearing the wide spread of this demonstration.
According to complementary reports, the clerical regime has tried to cut off all communications in that region, especially in Sanandaj or had reduced the Internet speed drastically to prevent the news of the demonstration and stop people of Sanandaj from joining the Mahabad uprisings.
