Iran: 5,000-strong strike in Bafgh ore mine surpassed 8th day

In Iran protest news, the 5,000-strong strike launched by Bafgh ore miners in Yazd, central Iran, surpassed their 8th day on Tuesday, August 26th, protesting the detention of 9 of their colleagues by the regime police.  This strike started last Tuesday, August 19th.
The state-run ILNA news agency was forced to cover and publish reports on this widespread protest act. This state outlet reported, “The families of these 9 detained workers, along with a number of other workers and people, have rallied during the past three days outside the regime’s governorate office demanding the release of the detained workers.”
