Iran: 5 protest gatherings in front of regime’s parliament

Students and graduates from Oil Industry University in Iran have converged in front of the Iranian regime’s parliament again today for the 12th straight day calling on the regime to respond to their job demands.

Simultaneously, teachers and kindergarten instructors in Tehran gathered outside the Majlis (parliament) spending their 7th protesting day. They also called for job verifications and demanded answers.
On the other hand, teachers and trainers teaching night schools for illiterate grownups took part in their own gathering in front of the Parliament asking for official employment.
Adding to the above groups, disabled and paralyzed war veterans participated in another sit-in demonstration in front of the same parliament complaining the lack of basic facilities promised to them by the government when they were recruited to go to Iran-Iraq war.

Those investors in a government run company called Thamen Al-Hojaj also rallied outside the parliament today, Tuesday, August 23 carrying placards and signs addressed to the Central Bank reading “We, the shareholders of the Thamen Al-Hojaj company demand our money back” and “We bought the shares with a guarantee from you.”
Another poster was reading: “To Central Bank; our lives have been ruined. You and your guarantees have failed us miserably.”
