Iran regime authorities have ratified the death sentence for at least 40 prisoners in the notorious Ghezel-Hesar Prison. A large number of these rulings were issued on Sunday, Feb. 21st.
According to informed sources inside Iran, the clerical judiciary has rejected an appeal for a number of these cases.
All of the 40 death row prisoners had submitted new evidence for their appeals.
In another case 10 Baluch minority prisoners were issued death sentence in the southeastern city of Zahedan. They are all facing drug-related charges. These prisoners have been behind bars for 4 years now.
“These individuals were sentenced to death while a single gram of narcotics was not found in their possession. These individuals had denied all the charges in court as baseless,” informed sources said.
