The mayor of Khoramabad in western Iran announced that in the past month 23 individuals were hired by the private sector to sweep the city streets, while they all have college education with Bachelor and Masters degrees.
“These workers began their jobs last week,” he said.
Lorestan Province, with 120,000 unemployed people, has in the past few years been ranked first in unemployment amongst all of Iran’s provinces.
