Around 200 members of Iran’s Majlis (parliament) signed a statement expressing their support of orders issued recently by Tehran mayor Ghalibof for gender segregation in Tehran municipality, latest Iran crackdown news indicates.
Ghalibof had a few days ago called on municipality directors to present plans to separate men and women in their offices.
Mullah Poor Mohammadi, Rouhani’s minister of justice, also supported this plan. His remarks were covered by Revolutionary Guards-affiliated Fars news agency where he said, “This measure is in line with our values and will increase productivity”.
