Fereidoon Abbasi, former head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization made some serious remarks regarding the recent nuclear retreats made by this regime.
“The West will next come after our 5% uranium enrichment. When we accepted to give up our 20% for nothing at all and got nothing in return… With the policy of suspending Iran’s enrichment and closing down Arak’s heavy water reactor, the West will then go after closing down the Isfahan fuel factory,” he said.
This is while Rouhani sees these retreats as in the interest of the mullahs’ regime.
“Today, we are negotiating for a final phase agreement. This will be a hard and difficult phase… If we reach a final deal it will be in everyone’s interest; in the interest of the region, West, East and Iran. No one is profiting from the current situation, nor will they in the future. When we reach an agreement all of us will be profiting,” he said.
