Baghdad News, December 11, 2017 – Iran-backed Shiite militias (IMIS) were formed as a result of  Marja’s fatwa, Ali al-Yasiri, secretary-general of Saraya Kharasani militia said on Monday.

“Our love for Khamenei is to prove him our allegiance.”, Yasiri said in an interview.

He also revealed that former vice president Nuri al-Maliki had a role in supporting IMIS, but he did not establish it.

“Iraq gave us only a quarter of our logistics and military needs”, he concluded.
