Former UN nuclear watchdog director general Olli Heinonen called for Iran and the IAEA to be held accountable for the secret deal signed over the inspections of the controversial Parchin military site near Tehran.
The Parchin site is clearly a subject that has raised many suspicions and effective inspections are needed due to the “heavy cleansing” carried out by Tehran a few years ago, which are considered very doubtful activities.
The IAEA and member states have unveiled much more detailed aspects of various specific subjects, Heinonen said, adding he has called for the publication of the classified side deals between Iran and the IAEA. Parchin is of important aspect, but it is just one of the PMD concerns, which the Iranian regime’s must clearly explain about, he added.
