A pre-planned retired teachers’ rally has taken place in front of the Parliament in the capital Tehran on Thursday, Oct. 15. The rally is called by the teachers’ association to protest the poor living condition and discrimination and injustice against teachers.
Reports coming from Tehran indicate that the number of protesters is constantly on rise. The protesters ignore the intimidation and threats by the suppressive security guards. They are carrying placards reading:

We, the retired teachers are forgotten people
We demand a decent living
Remove discrimination, imply law and order
Disregard for teachers, is the failure of culture
