The student website Amirkabir on Jan. 1 wrote that the Green Party of Belgium in an open letter condemned violation of human rights by the mullahs’ regime in Iran.

The letter was written to the arrested students and lecturers and their families in Iran and it says: our specific intention for writing this letter and publishing it is to protest against the group arrest of students on Dec. 7, the anniversary of Students Day in Iran. The detained students were only advocates of freedom of speech and belief.

The letter continues: Many families and relatives of the detained students still after one month have no idea about the conditions of their children. They call relevant officials on a daily basis, but receive no official respond.

The Green Party also in a letter to the European Union called for reconsideration of its political and economical relations with the Iranian regime, considering the condition of political prisoners in Iran.
