German Human rights commissioner condemns Iran regime flogging of students

Germany’s human right commissioner Barbel Koffler condemned the flogging sentence of students in the city of Qazvin on Monday as most inhuman and brutal action by Iran’s judiciary.
Iran’s judiciary ordered 95 lashes for each of the 35 young male and female students in Qazvin on May 25th after they were arrested during a graduation party. The students were immediately sent to the court on the same day and ruling of 99 lashes each. The sentences were carried out on the same day by the brutal criminal moral police.
She said speed in which the judiciary had issued and carried out this heinous sentence to 35 young innocent students raise a serious doubt in the legitimacy of the ruling.
Mullah Sadeghi Niaraki, the brutal prosecuting attorney in Qazvin said “this is the authority of the Islamic Republic judiciary. In less than 24 hours, the investigation, interrogation, court hearing, issuing and carrying out the sentence were all done, so it would be a lesson to other offenders.”
Shahin Gobadi of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) on Thursday said: “This barbaric act once again proves that moderation during Hassan Rouhani’s Presidency is nothing but a myth. Three years after Rouhani’s Presidency the human rights situation in Iran is deteriorating in every aspect. This also shows the regime’s fragile state and total isolation among the Iranian people, in particular among the youths. The notion advocated by some in the West that this regime has a future is totally naive.”
