On the eve of the National Student Day, Tehran University students on Monday, Dec. 5th disrupted a speech by the Iranian regime’s official at the School’s auditorium.
A large number of students chanted ‘Free Political Prisoners’ during a speech by Masoomeh Ebtekar, the minister of the environment at Tehran’s Tarbiat Modarres University.
The students disrupted her speech over and over shouting antigovernment slogans. They also protested the government’s inaction to solve the suffocating air pollution in Tehran and gave the minister an oxygen canister as a gift to show that what the people in Tehran need is clean air, not empty talks. They said the minister is not doing anything to provide a clean environment in the capital where a dozen million people live.
