In an unprecedented warning, Khamenei for the second time in one day cautioned the probability of popular uprisings and havoc being caused in the regime’s ranks during the upcoming sham presidential elections.
“Everyone must be careful for this issue not to become an embarrassment,” he said.
“There are some who don’t recognize the right position of our conflict with the enemy, and aim their artillery against that position. And there are those who consider their election rivals as the great devil,” Khamenei added.
“Sometimes a person might be on our side yet may also be repeating the words of the enemy. This person must be advised, and if advice is not effective, we must indicate our borders with him and distance ourselves from him,” he added.
“Some people tried to portray that election (in 2009) as the symbol of divides and turn the political scuffle after the elections into sedition,” he added in reference to his nightmare of a repeat of the 2009 nationwide popular uprisings that shook the pillars of his regime.
