Rouhani deputy Eshaq Jahangiri announced Iran’s average inflation rate at 40% and inflation on food stuffs as high as 60%, the regime’s official news agency IRNA reported on Tuesday.
“Considering the food stuffs ration being higher in rural families in comparison to urban families, in 2012 for the first time inflation in villages escalated higher than that in cities,” he said.
“The inflation increase in villages has eradicated the impact of the money paid as cash subsidies,” he admitted.
