The United Nations Refugee Agency published a report on the status of refugees across the globe in 2013, announcing 4% of all refugees in the world are Iranians.
“If in 2013 the Syrian people had the highest number of refugees in the world, the reason was that this country was involved in a war. If Afghanistan or Iraq were ranked first in the number of refugees, one can refer to the insecurity of these two countries. However, the high number of refugees in Iran, which is not involved in any civil or foreign war, is astonishing,” the Iranian regime’s official news agency wrote.
