The European High Court approved the EU decision to sanction the Iranian regime’s Bank Melli branch in the United Kingdom, citing this measure as in line with EU principle and laws.
The European High Court official verdict says the reason behind blocking the holdings of this bank is its efforts to bypass sanctions to pursue Iranian regime nuclear purposes.
The UK had filed a complaint against this bank in 2008 for suspicious activities, called for its property to be blocked and the bank to be sanctioned.
