EU condemns human rights violators in Iran

The Council European Union announced it will soon impose new sanctions against the Iranian regime for its continuous human rights violations. According to EU officials, in the upcoming European foreign affairs ministers’ session, 18 Iranian regime officials who are the sponsors of serious human rights violations in Iran will be sanctioned. These sanctions will include travel bans for these people to Europe and their assets being frozen.
Along with sanctioning Iranian regime officials, the export of computer equipment and software for this regime will also be prohibited. These bans include equipment and software the Iranian regime uses to tap into telephone calls and control e-mails. On the other hand, the European Union announced all the previously imposed sanctions in relation to human rights violations in Iran will be extended for another year.
