
In an interview with the state-run Jomhouri daily Rafsanjani revealed the tip of the iceberg on the fight for political power and the upper hand in Iran.
“Currently, most of the government’s tools are in the hands of a faction that doesn’t agree with the approaches of the new government, including the government’s economic methods… They have certain ways of thoughts and they are insisting on this… they had agendas to eliminate their opponents and they did so as far as they could. The reasons behind such measures are factional and power-seeking issues,” he said.
“The extremists with their extremist points of view have slowed down the country and are causing numerous problems,” Rafsanjani added.
