Drugs spreading amongst girls

The vice president in charge of women and family affairs wrote in a recent note: “The age of women and girl addicts is dropping seriously. The age of most girls who use drugs for the first time is in their teens. Over 60% of female prisoners have narcotics-related crimes. The ratio of death among women addicts in 2013 increased 16% in comparison to last year. According to recent studies on the spread of narcotics consumption across the country, from March 2012 to March 2013, over 92% of the people described the number of drug addicts in Iran as very concerning. The number of girls using narcotics has increased 500 fold, and they are starting to change from ordinary products to industrial drugs.
