More than 200 teachers in Shiraz, southern Iran, have gathered in front of the governor’s office at morning on Saturday, March 14, 2015 to protest government inaction regarding their previous demands.
About two weeks ago these teachers had gathered in the same place demanding job security and higher pay to equivalent the increasing inflation and cost of living. But they say since their last protest gathering and the government pledges to remedy the situation, nothing has been done and it has all been just empty pledges.
The teachers also protested heavy security presence in schools, low wages and job discrimination.
