Detained students’ families protested in front of UN headquarter in Tehran

The families of detained students gathered in front of the notorious Evin prison in Tehran on Monday and called for the immediate and unconditional release of their loved ones. This was part of their continuing protest against detention of their children.

In another gathering in front of the UN office in Tehran, the people carried pictures of the detained students and asked for the immediate measure of the UN to release them.

According to received reports, the UN representative met with the protesting families and received their letter of protest and promised them to follow their requests. The IRGC members tried to prevent the families to gather in front of the UN. They insulted and threatened old mothers and other protesters. The guards prevented people from taking photos and films from the gathering.

Besides, the families of detained students held gathering protests in front of the notorious Evin Prison and Tehran’s “revolutionary court” and asked for immediate release of their offspring. At these two places, the oppressive forces of the mullahs’ regime insulted the protesters and tried to prevent their gatherings. The protestors said they would continue protesting gatherings until their children were released.
