Daughter of jailed lawyer in Iran: My mother not allowed to see my father!

Maede Soltani, the daughter of Abdolfattah Soltani, a human rights lawyer and advocate, protested a decision by Tehran prosecutor’s office on not allowing her mother to see her husband in jail.
“My mother was deprived of a meeting with my father this month. The Tehran prosecutor’s office clerk said the reason is that she is too active on the Internet and conducting interviews with various websites. What kind of an argument is that?” she said.
“The law says each prisoner must have 36 days of leave each year. However, this law is not abided by for many prisoners, including my father. He has been deprived of such a leave for the past 36 days,” Maede added.
Abdolfattah Soltani was arrested on September 10, 2011 and has been in Evin Prison ever since. His charges included propaganda against the state, assembly and collusion against the state, forming the Center of Human Rights Advocates and obtaining forbidden property through receiving the Nuremburg Human Rights Award.
