AFP, Tehran, Oct 4, 2009 – UN atomic watchdog chief Mohamed ElBaradei said on Sunday after talks in Tehran that ’concerns’ remain over how Iran will use its nuclear technology in future.
’There are concerns about Iran’s future intentions and this is not a verification thing. It’s an issue of building trust and that is why we have now six-party talks,’ he said at a joint press conference with Iran’s atomic chief Ali Akbar Salehi.
’Iran has mastered enrichment technology. Iran has fuel cycle, has research facility and will have a nuclear plant. But there are still some questions about Iran’s intentions and thus the inspections are ongoing,’ ElBaradei said.
