The monitoring international sanctions imposed on Iran in its latest report to the UN Security Council called for the sanctions to continue in the status quo.
Spain’s Permanent Representative in the United Nations and the current rotatory chair of this committee said despite the nuclear talks between the P5+1 and Iran, the Security Council resolution to sanction Iran remains intact and UN Member States are obligated to fully implement it.
Iran has yet to respond to this committee on cases of sanctions violations, he stipulated.
