Reports from inside Iran indicate that during the past few days and with the continuation of popular protests against Lake Urumieh, the Iranian regime has resorted to arresting political and civil activists in various cities in Iran’s Azerbaijan provinces. These arrests are taking place while new calls are being placed for anti-government protests. Government security and intelligence agents are assigned to carry out these arrests.
