Christie blasts Iran nuclear deal

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) on Sunday criticized the Iran nuclear deal, President Obama’s record on the Middle East and other foreign policy issues, four days before the first GOP presidential debate.
In a wide-ranging interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” the Republican presidential candidate expressed concern over a 24-day period before nuclear inspectors might be granted access to a site over a suspected violation.
He compared it to a situation in which police showed up to a location with a search warrant and said, “I’ll be back in 24 days to search.”
“That’s not ’anytime, anywhere,’” he said.
“In 24 days, the Iranians cannot move the elements of cheating from one place [to another],” he added.
On the fight against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, Christie also said he would better equip regional partners, such as the Saudis and the Jordanians.
“They need more help, they need better arms, they need more help from the intelligence perspective,” he said.
“The president has put us in an awful mess, even worse than when he got there,” he added.
